Halibut fishing rewards preparation, not experimentation. The Deep‑Drop Magnum Halibut Kit is built around how experienced anglers actually run scent on the bottom — combining oil‑based and water‑soluble scent plumes to increase exposure and commitment.
Magnum Scent Strikers hold a large volume of DBS and continue releasing scent throughout deep drops. At the same time, many halibut anglers soak a Scent Striker Fob in a water‑soluble scent and clip it higher on the rig to create a second, different plume behavior. This system supports both approaches without over‑rigging.
Two bottles of DBS are included because halibut fishing is hard on scent — and running dry mid‑day costs opportunities.
